What is CUET PG?

CUET PG stands for Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses. It is a national-level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This exam is meant to make the admission process easier for students who want to apply for PG (postgraduate) courses in different universities. Instead of giving separate entrance exams for each university, students can now take one common test, and the score can be used to apply to many universities that accept CUET PG results.

Which Universities Accept CUET PG?

Many well-known universities in India accept CUET PG scores for admission into their postgraduate courses. These include:

  • Delhi University (DU)

  • Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS)

  • Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD)

  • Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

CUET PG 2026- Exam Pattern & changes

The CUET PG 2026 Psychology paper will be conducted as a Computer-Based Offline Test, likely held in March, with forms opening around January- February. The paper will include only subject-specific questions from Psychology, as the general section (Part A) has been removed. Here’s the latest pattern:

  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • Total Questions: 75 (all from Psychology)

  • Duration: 90 minutes

  • Total Marks: 300

  • Marking Scheme:

    • +4 marks for every correct answer

    • –1 mark for every wrong answer (negative marking)

    • 0 marks for un-attempted questions
